Inleiding
Na een geslaagd bezoek aan centraal Griekenland en de Peloponnesus in 2018 wilden we in 2019 het noordelijke deel van Griekenland bezoeken. Wij zijn een gepensioneerd koppel met voldoende tijd om er 3 weken op uit te trekken met een huurwagen. Enkele werelderfgoedsites trokken ons aan: de kloosters van de Athos berg en Vergina.
