Popular family-run hostal. Immaculate and comfortable rooms, with private bathrooms. The dormrooms (shared bathroom) however, need renovation and new beds. The topfloor, where breakfast is served, has a fireplace in front of giant windows with spectacular 180-degree views of the Cordillera Blanca. The owners are extremely friendly and will help you plan your stay in the nearby mountains (Juan, the owner, organises popular treks to Santa Cruz, Huayhuash, Laguna Churup...). Spanish classes, for all levels, are organised in a small classroom, next to the reception. There is internet available (wifi is free, 2 desktop pc‚s 1 SOL/half hour). Bookexchange and movieroom with extensive DVD collection (free). Booking in advance in high season (June ˆ September) is necessary (very popular)!
